Four ways we help a boiler company stand apart

Positioning comes first, the menu turns it into something customers can buy, pricing presentation makes it believable, and the website carries all three to market. Most owners start with the step that is most broken.

We offer four connected services: market positioning, premium service menus, honest pricing presentation and positioning-led websites. Each can be bought on its own, but they build on each other. The quickest way to choose a starting point is to ask which of these sentences sounds most like your company today.

If this sounds like you Start with
"We do a bit of everything and customers can't tell us apart." Market positioning
"Every job is a fresh quote and our margins swing wildly." Premium service menus
"We get plenty of calls, but half are price shoppers." Pricing presentation
"We know what we stand for, but the website doesn't show it." Positioning-led websites

Market positioning and niche choice

Positioning answers one question: why should a homeowner or property manager call you instead of the four other boiler names they found? We look at your job history, margins by job type, travel times and your crew's real strengths, then compare them with the companies your customers also consider.

The output is a written position: who you serve, what you are known for, what you deliberately do not do, and the proof that backs it up. It is short enough to put on a truck and specific enough to guide every marketing decision after it. Read the full market positioning page.

Premium service menus

A menu translates your position into products. Instead of "boiler replacement, price on request", a customer sees two or three named replacement packages and a couple of care plans, each with plain inclusions and a starting price. The middle option is usually designed to be the one most people choose.

Menus shorten sales calls, make quotes comparable inside your own range, and give your marketing something concrete to promote. Details are on the service menus page, and the good-better-best guide shows how to build the tiers.

Honest pricing presentation

This is where many boiler companies either hide too much or claim too much. We help you choose starting prices you can actually honour, write the inclusions and exclusions in plain words, and design quote documents that match what the website promised.

Canadian rules matter here. The Competition Bureau treats drip pricing as misleading: the advertised price must include fixed mandatory charges, other than government-imposed ones like sales tax. We are not lawyers and do not give legal advice, but we build presentation habits that keep you well clear of that line. See pricing presentation.

Positioning-led boiler websites

Once the position, menu and prices are settled, the website becomes much easier to build, because it has something specific to say. Each package gets its own page, the home page states the niche in the first line, and calls, texts and emails are one tap away.

We build these on the website packages listed on our pricing page, with hosting and maintenance shown next to the build price so nothing appears later. See positioning-led websites.

Typical starting combinations

Most boiler companies start with one of three combinations. A generalist HVAC firm usually begins with positioning and a menu, because the decision about a boiler division comes first. A boiler-only shop with a generic site often begins with pricing presentation and a website, since the niche already exists but is invisible. A company launching in a new city tends to need all four, in order, over a few months.

What we do not do

We are a marketing and business consulting service. We are not a heating contractor, and we do not install, repair, inspect or certify equipment. We do not give legal, engineering or code-compliance advice; where a question touches regulation, we point you to the provincial authority listed on each region page.

If you are unsure where to begin, the free trial includes a digital marketing audit of your current site and benchmarking against the competitors your customers also call.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to do all four in order?

No, but order matters more than most owners expect. A new website built on a vague position simply publishes the vagueness faster. If time or budget is tight, settle the position and menu first, even if the website waits.

Can you work with our existing website?

Often, yes. If the site is technically sound, we can rewrite the structure and copy around your new menu and prices. If it is slow, hard to edit or built on a platform you do not control, we will say so and quote a rebuild.

Who on our team needs to be involved?

The owner, plus whoever writes quotes and whoever answers the phone. Positioning that the dispatcher cannot explain on a call will not survive the first busy week of the heating season.

Do you also run ads and SEO?

Yes, through the monthly plans on our pricing page. The services here are the strategic foundation those campaigns sit on. Ads for a clear package with a published starting price usually convert better than ads for a generic company.
