This page answers the questions boiler company owners raise most often before working with us: cost, contracts, timelines, ownership, reporting and how to publish prices without trouble. The short versions are in the questions on this page; the longer explanations sit on the pages linked below.

Frequently asked questions

What does BoilerCompany.ca actually do?

We help boiler companies decide which niche to own, package their work into a short menu of named services, present prices honestly and then market that position through their website, search and ads. We are a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor.

How much does it cost?

Monthly plans are $2,998, $4,498 or $8,998 per month. Websites are $3,500, $6,500 or $12,500 one-time, with monthly hosting and maintenance of $149, $249 or $449. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST/HST at your province's rate (GST and QST in Quebec).

Is there a long-term contract?

No lock-in. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial and no credit card is needed.

How long before we see results?

Menu and pricing changes can improve the quality of enquiries within weeks, because they change who calls. Search visibility for a new niche usually builds over several months. Paid ads can bring calls within days, but only convert well once the offer is clear.

We tried an agency before and it did nothing. Why would this be different?

Many agencies start with traffic and ignore the offer. If your company looks and prices like every competitor, more traffic simply produces more price shoppers. We start with position, menu and price, and we report on booked jobs and margin, not just clicks.

Who owns the website and the accounts?

You do: the domain, the website, the Google Business Profile, the ad accounts and the analytics. If you leave, everything stays with you.

What will you report on?

Calls, texts and emails by source, quote-to-job conversion where you share it, the mix of packages sold, and visibility for your niche terms. Starter plans report monthly; Growth plans report weekly.

Will publishing prices hurt us?

It usually helps, as long as the prices are real. Honest starting prices with clear inclusions filter out bargain hunters and give serious buyers the confidence to call. Prices that nobody actually pays do the opposite.

What is drip pricing and why does it matter for boiler quotes?

Drip pricing is advertising a price that cannot actually be obtained because mandatory charges are added later. The Competition Bureau treats it as misleading, with government-imposed charges such as sales tax as the exception. If every job pays a fee, it belongs in the advertised price.

Do you give legal advice on advertising?

No. We build honest presentation habits and point you to the Competition Bureau's guidance, but for a specific campaign or dispute, speak to a lawyer.

Do you install, repair or inspect boilers?

Never. Technical decisions belong to your licensed staff and to the provincial safety authority in your area, which we list on each region page.

Can you help us launch a separate boiler division?

Yes. Deciding whether a division needs its own name, as GasBoilers.ca does for CANRO Heat, is a positioning question we answer with your job data and your competitors' claims.

Do you work outside British Columbia?

Yes. We are based in Vancouver and work with boiler companies in every province and territory, mainly by phone, video and shared documents.

Money and commitment

Our plans and website packages are listed in full on the pricing page, with every monthly fee shown beside the price it belongs to. All figures are in Canadian dollars, with GST/HST added by province (GST and QST in Quebec). There is no lock-in, and the 7-day free trial needs no credit card.

A fair question to ask any marketing firm is how many extra jobs it takes to cover the fee. For a boiler company whose average replacement contributes around $3,500 of gross margin, the Starter plan needs roughly one extra replacement a month. Run that sum with your own numbers before you talk to anyone, including us.

Positioning, menus and prices

Owners often ask whether narrowing their niche will cost them work. It narrows what you advertise, not what you accept. The market positioning page shows how we pick a niche from margin per labour hour rather than gut feel.

The second most common question is whether a service menu can work when every boiler room is different. Every job still gets a site visit and a final quote. A service menu simply names the shapes most jobs take, so the customer understands your range before you arrive.

On pricing, the rule we repeat most is this: if every customer pays a charge, it belongs inside the advertised price. Our pricing presentation service and the guide to from prices explain how to apply that.

Working with us

You will talk to a senior strategist from the first call. We read your website and quotes before the conversation, so the first call is about your business rather than a sales script. The contact page lists what to send so the first conversation is useful.

Our home base is Vancouver, BC; Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads the company, which belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group. More on the about page.

Questions to ask any marketing firm

Whether or not you hire us, these questions sort serious firms from the rest:

  1. Who owns the website, domain and ad accounts if we part ways? The answer should be you, without conditions.
  2. What exactly do you report, and how often? Ask to see a sample report before signing.
  3. Which results can you link to a live business? Unlinked percentages are hard to check.
  4. What will you change about our offer, not just our traffic? If the answer is "nothing", expect more of the same enquiries.
  5. What does the first 90 days look like? A clear sequence beats a vague promise.

Questions about boiler-specific marketing

Owners also ask whether marketing a boiler company is really different from marketing a furnace company. It is, in three ways. Boiler buyers are fewer, so precise targeting matters more than volume. The systems are less familiar to homeowners, so plain explanations and job photos do more selling. And boiler jobs vary more from house to house, which is why a menu with honest starting prices and clear exclusions is so useful.

A note for first-time buyers of marketing

If you have never hired a marketing firm, start small and measure. Pick one package from your menu, give it a page with an honest price, and track how many calls, texts and emails name it over three months. That gives you a baseline to judge any plan against.

What we will not do

We will not promise rankings, lead counts or results, publish invented reviews, or claim results we did not produce. We will not install, service or inspect equipment, give legal advice, or tell you how to comply with a regulation. Regulators for each province and territory are linked on our areas pages, so you can go to the source.
